Cultural Dishes + Bytes: A Virtual Food Story & Dinner

In partnership with MSVU Art Gallery, Safura Syed and Gurneet Dhami, two women of colour and MSVU graduate students in Applied Human Nutrition, are hosting a virtual art dinner workshop for MSVU Applied Human Nutrition students (undergraduate and graduate) who self-identify as Indigenous, Black or People of Colour, International students and those with a racial and ethnic background from under-represented groups.

Gurneet and Safura have invited Halifax-based artist Stephanie Yee to participate in the online gathering, which will include discussion of culture, food and dietetics. This is intended to be a closed space for BIPOC individuals to discuss cultural foods, professional journeys and apply arts-based perspectives to share stories.

How to participate
This online workshop is free to attend but advanced registration is required and space is limited. Confirmed participants will receive a $10 grocery store gift card to offset the cost of preparing a meal for the gathering. If you are interested in attending, please submit this form by February 8.
