Meet & Greet: Jude Abu Zaineh

The MSVU Art Gallery is excited to welcome visiting artist Jude Abu Zaineh! As a Palestinian-Canadian interdisciplinary artist-curator, Jude’s work weaves together art, food, science, and technology studies. Her practice is rooted in developing counter-archive methods while exploring themes of culture, displacement, storytelling, diaspora, and belonging from decolonial and feminist perspectives. Drawing inspiration from her childhood in Southwest Asia, she investigates the meanings of home and community.

During her residency, Jude will collaborate with Chartwells to host a special buffet showcasing dishes inspired by the rich flavours of Palestine. The dining hall will also feature representations of Jude’s artwork and videos, creating an immersive experience for all attendees.

As always, Chartwells will have a variety of food options and alternatives to accommodate any dietary considerations, ensuring everyone can enjoy the event.
