Hand-Building Pottery Workshop

Using air-dry clay, participants will learn a variety of techniques (wedging, coiling, pinching, slab building, modelling, slip and scoring) to create small sculptures or vessels. Many different styles and possibilities of surface design will also be explored in this hands-on workshop facilitated by artist Lux Habrich.


About the Artist
Lux Habrich is an emerging interdisciplinary visual artist and facilitator. A recipient of numerous grants and awards, Habrich has participated in group exhibitions across Turtle Island, including First You Dream (2019) at MSVU Art Gallery, with an upcoming solo show titled her eyes cut like flowers at Tangled Art Gallery in Tkaronto in 2022. She is passionate about developing inclusive creative platforms and reimagining cultural futures.

This online workshop is free to attend but advanced registration is required; all ages are welcome and no experience is necessary.
