Cheralyn Ryan’s paintings combine shallow pictorial space, intertwined imagery and uniformly textured surfaces. As her subject matter indicates, she is especially interested in the complexity of ecological relationships. This exhibition exposed for the first time a body of work produced since the artist’s graduation from NSCAD in 1988.
