The second in the Window Box series, Legitimizing Pink, paired a young artist with an aspiring curator, bringing visual excitement to a quiet corner of the university library. A graduate of NSCAD, Kim Dawn works in performance and installation formats. Her installation in the library vitrines combined soft sculpture and make-up to produce an effect described by Glynis Humphrey as “visceral … unspeaking yet threatening.”
