The fifth in the “Prospect” exhibition series, Proximities, introduced Halifax painter Alisa Snyder. Snyder’s suite of paintings depicts marginal landscapes: the scrubby growth at the edges of woods and residential plots. Her close-up viewpoint brings “uncomposed” foliage into the foreground, filling her canvases edge to edge.
