The body of graphic work presented in this exhibition represents Tombs’ collaborations with numerous artists\, writers\, artist-run centres\, art galleries\, academic presses and printers to create books and artist-related publications. Viewed collectively\, the printed matter emerging from these partnerships provides a survey not only of Tombs’ design work but also his clients’ projects and publications over the last thirty years. \nThe exhibition catalogue\, designed by Tombs and featuring critical essays by Michael Davidge and Marina Roy\, functions as the latest contribution to Robert Tombs: Index.
